On May 22 & 23, 2004 YRC will host the Montana State Varmint Championships at YRC. Saturday match begins at 0900 with the Light Varmint 100 yard event, followed by the Light Varmint 200 yard event in the afternoon. A barbecue will follow, $3 per person, and you are guaranteed to be full. If you’re not full, it’s your fault! On Sunday, 23 May, the Heavy Varmint 200 yard event will begin at 0800, with the Heavy Varmint 100 yard to be held immediately following. Shooting fee is $50 which pays for both days, all four events. This is a National Benchrest Shooters Association-sanctioned (NBRSA) tournament and qualifies for world record consideration. All shooters must be NBRSA members to qualify for world record. We are encouraging new shooters to come shoot with us, and we do not require them to be NBRSA members in order to compete in a single match. If they come back for other matches, which we hope they will do, they will then be required to be NBRSA members. Those who wish to join NBRSA may do so at the match. Awards will be made following the HV 100 match on Sunday.

 On 31 July and 1 August 2004, the Mac Clark Memorial Hunter Benchrest Tournament will be held at YRC. Saturday matches begin at 0900 and consist of the 100 Yard HBR followed by the 200 Yard HBR in the afternoon. Sunday, 1 Aug, we will shoot the 300 Yard HBR, followed by award ceremony. There will be a barbecue following the matches on Saturday, $3 per person. If you go away hungry, it’s your fault! As above, this is an NBRSA-sanctioned tournament and the same parameters apply as above. We encourage shooters to come try their skill in a special Factory Class, open to any caliber and any scope configuration. Bring out your” quarter-inch all day long” rifle and try to keep ‘em that small for just ten targets. You’ll need fifty rounds for the record targets, and who-knows-how-many for the sighter target. Bring plenty of ammo. We’re having a ball, so you might just as well join us!
