17-Mile Shooting Area Cleanup

Volunteers can help clean up the 17-Mile Recreation Area north of Billings during work days on Sept. 16 and 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers are asked to bring a rake, bucket, gloves and lunch.
The BLM will close the area to all shooting for approximately two weeks to complete the clean-up and then proposes to develop governing use of the area, including acceptable targets and prohibiting all night use of the area.  The shooting area will remain closed until the site is entirely cleaned.
Additional information is available at  http://www.billingsgazette.net/articles/2006/09/07/features/outdoors/35-cleanup.txt  or by contacting the local BLM Field Office, 5001 Southgate Drive, (406) 896-5013.

It would be great if a bunch of our guys pitched in.

The match was held on March 12.  There were twelve competitors in each or the Conventional and the International Standand Pistol competitions.  Four YRC shooters made the trip and included Kent Stoddard, Dan Kavanaugh,  Tom Love, and Lew Muller.  They have a very nice facility and we are looking forward to returning.
